Enchanted land, beyond the setting sun…

LAKE ELOWIN RESORT stands at the gateway to some of the most beautiful scenery in America. Foremost is the famous Sequoia National Park where, in all their majestic serenity and beauty, stand the world’s largest trees, the oldest living things on earth.

Warm, dry days for swimming, fishing and outdoor playing, and pleasantly cool nights for restful sleep prevail throughout the Summer. Winter climate is mild, below the snow and above the fog, and Lake Elowin makes ideal headquarters for winter sports enthusiasts who wish to take advantage of skiing and skating facilities in the Park.

Springtime, while the hills are green and the snow sparkles from the mountains above, is spectacular. Fall, with its bright leaves and crisp mountain air, makes Lake Elowin the perfect home for the hunter.

The name ELOWIN was chosen because it is the Native American name for “Paradise” “the happy land beyond the setting sun.” The little lake and sparkling fountains surrounded by shady green lawns truly offer a paradise for your enjoyment.

The cottages are clean and comfortable, air conditioned and completely furnished. Kitchenettes make it possible for you and your family to prepare meals conveniently and inexpensively. Those who wish a vacation from the kitchen will find a wide range of restaurants nearby.

For many of our guests, Lake Elowin has become synonymous with “vacation.” whether for a weekend in the Spring or their Summer holiday. All our efforts are directed toward making Lake Elowin Resort a truly delightful and relaxing place for your comfort and enjoyment.
